Encora merges with Meritos Tech

Bangalore, Feb 14: Arizona based encora Group, a global product engineering services company, offering a portfolio of software product life cycle solutions, today announced a merger agreement with Meritos Technologies, a city-based pure-play offshore services company.

The definitive merger agreement arrived at recently, was to create an emerging leader in the outsourced product engineering space, encora President and CEO Venu Raghavan said.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, he said encora was backed by strong technology-focused private equity firms and leveraged its comprehensive domain and solution-clusters based engaged models that helped it grow more than 100 per cent CAGR in the last two years.

Meritos provided a wide range of sophisticated offshore software engineering development services for mid-market software product companies. It's services include off shore software delivery and product implementation, he said.

The combined entity, which would be known as Encora, would leverage its deep experience in building and managing offshore product development teams to increase competitive advantage and position itself as emerging leader in Outsourced Product Development (OPD) space, Venu said.

The company plans to add 1500 technology professionals over the next three years and create inflow into India, of nearly 100 million US Dollars, he added.
