EIC conference begins at Bangalore on Feb 15

Chennai, Feb 14: The Bangalore-based Popular Front of India (PFI) will organise a three-day Empower India Conference (EIC) at Bangalore from tomorrow, aimed at creating an atmosphere for equally empowering all the sections of the people in the country.

In a release here today, PFI general secretary and conference convener E M Abdurahman said the EIC would also find ways to motivate ''the underprivileged and marginalised'' sections like Dalits, backward classes and minority communities to work for human rights and social justice.

Hundreds of delegates from all over the country were expected to participate in the conference, he said adding a public meeting to mark its conclusion would be held on February 17.
