CRPF personnel slain in blast

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Feb 14 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force head constable was killed and a constable severely injured today after a naxal landmine exploded while being defused at Aranpur in tribal-dominated and militancy-affected Dantewada district, the police said.

A patrol, including a bomb disposal squad, found some partially buried wires and began defusing the device but in vain. The deceased was identified as Head Constable Tarachand and Constable V Mohan was hospitalised in Dantewada.

Recently, a similar incident slew seven security personnel and hurt 12 in Bhairamgarh.

Two tribals were gunned down last night in south Bastar.

Aganpalli (35) was targeted in Kandulnar village while Hawda Aamtu was killed in Kaker village.
