CPI not to sacrifice on issues despite alliance with Congress
Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 14 (UNI) The CPI Andhra Pradesh Secretary R Narayana today said the party would not compromise on their agitational methods on public issues, despite continuing their alliance with Congress in the ensuing Corporation polls.
Talking to newspersons here he said the CPI had an alliance with Congress in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections. The party would also campaign for Congress candidates in Rajahmundry, Visakhapatanam and Hindupur Municipality, he added.
Dr Narayana said CPI ruled out CPI(M)'s desire to fight both the BJP and Congress in the ensuing poll, hence the latter opted to align with Telegu Desam Party(TDP).
