Chouhan to attend Shukla's funeral

Bhopal, Feb 14 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will attend the funeral of former chief minister Shyama Charan Shukla at Raipur later today.

In a condolence message, Mr Chouhan expressed deep sorrow on the death of Mr Shukla, who died early this morning.

''Mr Shukla upheld high standards and moral values in politics.

An able administrator and statesman, he had played an important role in the development of Madhya Pradesh. His death was an irreparable loss to both Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh'', Mr Chouhan added.
