Bus services between Bangalore-Mysore resumed
Mysore, Feb 14 (UNI) The KSRTC today resumed its normal services on the Bangalore-Mysore route, even as the widespread agitation against the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal's final verdict continued in the Cauvery basin districts of Mysore, Mandya and Chamarajanagara in Karnataka.
However, the buses were detained by the agitators for a brief period in Mandya district.
Police sources said the agitations were peaceful and no untoward incident was reported from any part of the State.
Students boycotted classes in Mandya and took out a procession.
The Cauvery Hitarakshana Samithi members, led by its President G Made Gowda, continued their relay hunger strike.
In Mysore, various organisations extended support to the stir and staged dharnas and took out processions in the city.
Meanwhile, hundreds of farmers owing allegiance to the Kabini Raitha Hitarakshana Samithi, led by its President Kurabur Shanthakumar, began their padayatra from Kabini reservoir to Raj Bhavan in Bangalore.
In Chamarajanagara, some organisations took out a procession.
