Tuticorin Traders Association observe one day fast

Tuticorin, Feb 13 (UNI) Tuticorin Town Traders Central Association along with 17 other parties today observed a fast, near old harbour condemning the Tuticorin Port Chairman's functioning, demolishing Vicnivas agency shed on February 7, 2007.

Association District President Rasaiya presided over the function. State President Velaiyan and Tamil Nadu Vanigargal Sangam delivered special addresses.

Meanwhile, representatives of all the parties' from Tuticorin had sent a letter to the President of India A P J Abdul Kalam regarding the dispute between the Vicnivas agency and port users Tuticorin.

About 2,000 members participated in the fast.
