Three LeT militants arrested in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 13 (UNI) Three Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants responsible for grenade attacks in Sopore were arrested today, police said.

He said police and 51 battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) conducted a joint operation at Bandipora in north Kashmir's Baramulla district and arrested the three -- Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Arif Hussain and Nissar Ahmad.

Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, a Pakistan-trained militant, had been evading arrest since 2004, when he again took to militancy after his release from jail, the police said.

He said the trio were involved in grenade blasts on July 27, October 21 and 28, last year in which several people were injured.

The militants were also involved in other subversive incidents in the district, he added.
