Thief held; Rs 4.50 lac ornaments seized

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 13 (UNI) The West Godavari police today arrested a person allegedly involved in various theft cases and seized gold and sliver ornaments worth Rs 4.50 lakhs.

Talking to reporters West Godavari Superintendent of Police M Jaganmohoan Reddy said acting on a tip-off K Ramana (46), of Bhadrachalam, was arrested and 50 soverigns of gold ornaments and two kgs of silver ornaments were seized.

The accused was allegedly involved in various thefts cases in Hyderabad, Nalagonda, Warangal, Khammam, West Godavari, East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts.
