Sugar prices ease further on thin buying support
Mumbai, Feb 13 (UNI) Sugar prices eased further on thin buying support, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said today.
Sugar in small grade fell by Rs four per quintal on lack of fresh demand while medium grade rose by Rs ten per quintal on better buying support.
Ex-mill small grade declined by Rs ten per quintal on increased offers by stockists while medium grade remained steady on moderate demand.
Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,455/1,497, Medium grade: Rs 1,484/1,594, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,430/1,450, Medium grade: Rs 1,450/1,490.
