Russia says small aircraft, not Airbus crashed
MOSCOW, Feb 13 (Reuters) A small executive jet, not an Airbus A310, crashed at Moscow's Vnukovo airport today in a snow storm, Russian officials said.
Russia's emergency ministry said earlier that an Airbus A310 had crashed at the airport. The emergency ministry later said a small jet had crashed.
''On take off there was a flare up in the area of the engine. The aircraft fell onto the runway and broke up,'' said Svetlana Kryshtanovskaya, an aide to Russia's Transport Minister Igor Levitin.
