Regional Science Centre soon in Jharkhand
Ranchi, Feb 13 (UNI) Jharkhand would soon have its first Regional Science Centre here, state Science and Technology secretary A K Basu said.
The Centre would be built up in Chiroundhi of the state capital by spending Rs 6.5 crore under the guidance of National Council of Science and Museum, adding half of the amount would be incurred by the Union Government and rest by the state government, Mr Basu yesterday said.
He said initially the planetarium was supposed to be built in Ranchi and Deoghar under the private public partnership, but the work did not begin as no private party took initiative.
About Rs 20 crore would be spent and the government would incur the expenditure, he added.
