Rabri dubs Nitish govt as anti-poor

Patna, Feb 13 (UNI) Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi today dubbed the Nitish Kumar government as anti-poor and alleged that largescale irregularities were committed in the preparation of the Below Poverty Line (BPL) list.

In a statement here, Ms Rabri Devi, also Leader of the Opposition, alleged that the state government was adopting ''repressive'' measures against the people, demonstrating against the non-inclusion of their names in the BPL list.

'' The RJD will launch statewide agitational programme if the state government fails to rectify the irregularities committed in the BPL list, '' she warned.

Referring to the police lathicharge on students in Madhgepura during Intermediate examinations yesterday, she alleged that instead of taking action against the education mafias responsible for the chaos, the state government was using force against examinees.
