Prof case: Jamuna accuses CM
Ujjain, MP, Feb 13 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Jamuna Devi today accused Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan of shielding those charged with the murder of local Prof Harbhajan Singh Sabharwal and demanded that a case be registered against Mr Chouhan.
The Congress bigwig was deposing in the court of Judicial Magistrate Vidhi Saxena who was hearing a plea by the deceased's son Himanshu.
The government had ordered an inquiry by the Crime Investigation Department into the death and, while the probe was underway, the Chief Minister allegedly labelled the death as accidental.
Consequently, Mr Himanshu submitted the petition against Mr Chouhan.
Others who deposed today were ex-MLA Rajendra Bharti, Dr Batukshankar Joshi and the senior correspondent of a Bhopal-based newspaper.
