PI suspended for allowing dance bars

Mumbai, Feb 13 (UNI) Senior police inspector Dilip Nalawade of Panvel police station has been suspended for allowing dance bars to operate in his jurisdiction.

Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Ramrao Wagh slapped the suspension orders on Mr Nalawade last evening.

The dance bars were allowed to operate despite the ban imposed on them by the state government. The matter pertaining to the ban is pending in the Supreme Court.
