Srinagar, Feb 13 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police arrested one Lashker-e-Toiba militant and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including RDX, from a hideout in the state overnight.

Acting on a tip-off, a police party conducted a search operation at Tahab last evening, a police spokesman said.

During the operation a LeT militant identified as Nazir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Awantipora, was arrested along with a hand grenade, detonator and a packet of RDX.

A militant surrendered along with arms and ammunition at Badgam, the spokesman said.

A report from Jammu said two teenagers, abducted by the militants from the R S Pura border area on February 4, managed to flee from their clutches in Basantgarh area of Udhampur district.

The duo, Mohammad Imran (15) and Sunil Kumar (6), reported the matter to the Army last evening after they had escaped on Saturday night, a defence spokesman said.

A search operation has been launched in the area to flush out the militants, he said.

Both were handed over to the Lodhara police post last evening.
