Night curfew in MP city

Indore, Feb 13 (UNI) Night curfew -- 2100 to 0600 hrs -- was clamped on Sarafa, Raoji Bazaar, Central Kotwali and Sadar Bazaar police station areas here in a repeat of last night's strategy, official sources said.

Curfew was relaxed twice today in Malhargunj, Chhatripura and Pandrinath where it was clamped yesterday following arson, stone-pelting and other damage to property sparked off by communal tension.

A two-hour relaxation, from 0600 hrs, was only for women while the second relaxation was between 1500 to 1800 hrs.

''As a precuationary measure, 165 people were arrested,'' said Inspector-General Rajendra Kumar. Searches were underway.
