Mizoram government for better office discipline
Aizawl, Feb 13 (UNI) Mizoram government has urged its employees to maintain better office rules and discipline during office hours.
State's Chief Secretary Haukhum Hauzel yesterday announced the decision after holding meetings with the Federation of Mizoram Government Employees&Workers(FMGE&W) here.
Mr Hauzel said the activities of the NGOs or Churches should not collide with office hours and the practice of leaving office to attend meetings of such organisations be stopped.
Speaking on punctuality and regular attendance, he said the government should not be forced to issue orders to this effect as the government employees were bound by certain rules.
The government has also asked all heads of departments to conduct meetings with their staff for better discipline during office hours, he said adding that showing politeness to visitors, talking less on mobile phones, playing cards and computer games during office hours should be prohibited henceforth.
