JD(U) ready for friendly fight with BJP in Palamu

Dumka, Feb 13 (UNI) Terming BJP's claim over Palamu parliamentry seat 'baseless', the major NDA ally JD(U) today said it was ready for a 'friendly fight' if BJP fielded its candidate for the seat.

Talking to reporters, party's state president Jaleshwar Mahto and leader of legislators in the state assembly Ramesh Singh Munda said the party had its mass base in the area and JD(U) was ready to field its candidate.

He said the BJP should stake its claim over the seat after introspecting the scenario adding the party was ready for a friendly fight.

Earlier, both the leaders also met jailed Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Sibu Soren at the Central jail here.
