Immigration authorities detain Ambala resident in forgery case

Kolkata, Feb 13 (UNI) Immigration authorities detained one B Kumar at the NSC International Airport here last night following a tip-off from the Punjab police, for his alleged involvement in a forgery case.

Kumar (30), a resident of Ambala, arrived here from Bangkok last night.

He had flown to Bangkok from Kolkata on February 5.

Authorities here had earlier received a message from the Ambala police asking them to detain Kumar against whom there are forgery charges. When Kumar returned last night, he was accordingly detained and handed over to the police only to be later handed over to the Punjab police.
