Fuel strike called off in Mizoram

Aizawl, Feb 13 (UNI) The Mizoram Petrol Oil and Lubricants Carrying Contractors Association (MPOLCCA) called off its strike today.

The association had launched the agitation against the Indian Oil Corporation, demanding a hike in transportation cost from Rs 2.30 to Rs 3.64 per km round trip.

However, the association said in view of ''public suffering'', they decided to accept IOC's offer of Rs 2.40 km per kilometre round trip.
