Forester lands in Lok Ayukta net

Bangalore, Feb 13 (UNI) The Lok Ayukta has unearthed moveable and immoveable property worth over Rs one crore from a Forester, disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Based on a tip-off, the Karnataka Lok Ayukta raided the house, office, commercial complex and godown of Forester U Nagi Reddy, working at Hospet in Bellary district.

The search disclosed that Mr Reddy possessed a house, a commercial complex, a building and a godown in Kurugodu, a banana garden and a house at Hagaribommanahalli, seven acres of land in Kurugodu and gold and silver jewellery. Besides, 5,000 bags of paddy and 143 bags of jowar were found stored in his godown. His properties were estimated at over Rs 1.02 crore, according to a release from the Lok Ayukta.
