Fleeing prisoner apprehended

Bhilwara, Feb 13 (UNI) One prisoner out of the five, who fled from Bhilwara district jail recently, was arrested here today.

The prisoner named Shariya alias Shekhar was arrested from the Pratapnagar region near the canal. He was caught when he went to meet his wife at a rented house in the industrial area, police sources said.

Shekhar, along with four other prisoners, managed to escape from the jail on Saturday night. Heavy rain and a pourly blackout helped them to flee.

Shekhar went to meet his wife who was not there and was arrested by the police after a chase. The police are now looking for the other four escaped prisoners.
