Curfew relaxed in MP city

Indore, Feb 13 (UNI) Curfew was relaxed twice today in the Malhargunj, Chhatripura and Pandrinath police station areas here where it was clamped yesterday following arson, stone-pelting and other damage to property sparked off by communal tension.

A two-hour relaxation, from 0600 hrs, was only for women while the second relaxation was between 1500 to 1800 hrs.

''As a precuationary measure, 165 people were arrested,'' said Inspector-General Rajendra Kumar. Searches were underway.

Curfew imposed on three areas yesterday was later extended to seven but lifted from four areas during the night.
