Court refuses bail to DCO

Patna, Feb 13 (UNI) Special Vigilance judge of Patna Satya Prakash Narayan Singh today rejected the regular bail petition of District Co-operative Officer (DCO) of Nawada Bharosa Ram in a bribery case.

According to the charges, accused Mr Ram was arrested by Vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a secretary of a co-operative society for recommendation of water taxes and fixing the area on January 19.

The accused was sent to jail on January 20.
