CM reviews situation in MP town
Bhopal, Feb 13 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today reviewed the situation in Indore during a high-level meeting at CM's residence here.
During the meeting, information was provided regarding steps taken to control the situation when violence erupted in Indore.
According to official information, Mr Chouhan had sent two senior ministers Kailash Vijaywargiya and Himmat Kothari to Indore directing them to establish communication between all sections of society and remove bitterness.
He said communication will help in checking rumours. Strict action would be taken against those spreading rumours.
Director General of Police Anandrao Pawar, Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni, Principal Secretary (Home) Satyaprakash, Additional Director General of Police (law&order) Surendra Singh and CM's secretary Ikbal Singh were present during the meeting.
Mr Chouhan directed that police and intelligence in Malwanchal region be alerted in view of incident in Indore so that no untoward incident take place.
He directed them to track down criminals in Indore and nearby districts and arrest them. Strict action be taken against those possessing weapons and violating law.
The CM directed police to take concrete steps to establish law and order and bring normalcy.
Additional police force had been sent to Indore to maintain peace.
