BJP for cutting power supply to Varsha

Mumbai, Feb 13 (UNI) Against the backdrop of severe power shortage of 5,500 MW and load shedding at many places in the metropolis, the BJP would organise a morcha on February 22 at Malabar Hill in South Mumbai to demand power cut at Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh's residence 'Varsha'.

Former BJP MP Dr Kirit Somaiya, in a release here today, said his party had already launched protests at several places in the city against load-shedding, which he alleged was the due to the sheer failure of Congress-NCP government.

He said over one lakh small scale industrial units would be forced to shut down, rendering 30 lakh people jobless due to load shedding.
