Parkash Singh Badal confident of SAD-BJP victory

Chandigarh, Feb 13: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) supremo Parkash Singh Badal today asserted that SAD-BJP combine would surge to power in Punjab while the Congress would be wiped out.

Mr Badal said he was quite confident of the combine's victory as the people of Punjab were determined to oust the Congress government.

''The Congress would no longer be visible in the state,'' he said at Badal village in his Lambi constituency while flashing the victory sign after casting his vote.

The 80-year-old leader said, ''I am fitter than the most in the political arena.''
