AP takes to computers to track private schools

Hyderabad, Feb 13 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government has introduced online monitoring of private and corporate schools in the state, School Education Minister N Rajyalakshmi said today.

Replying to N Manohar and other Congress members, the Minister said the online system would be used to collect the date of enrolment of students and details of employees of private schools in the state.

She admitted that several private schools were being run with single registration at various places.

The fee structure in private and corporate schools were being regulated by the Governing body attached to the institution, she said, adding the Government had constituted a Committee headed by the Director of School Education to review the functioning of schools.
