Airport police arrest three Lankans

Chennai, Feb 13 (UNI) Airport police arrested three Sri Lankans including a woman, while attempting to travel to Canada with fake passports at Anna International airport here late last night.

Police said the arrested were identified as Inbakaran (25), Sulekha (23) and Selvanayagam (22) all from Jaffna.

While Inbakara was trying to go to Canada via London by British Airways flight, the other two were trying to go to Canada via Singapore by an Indian Airlines flight.

The immigration authorities who detained the Sri Lankan nationals handed them over to local police.

Later, the three were remanded to judicial custody, police added.
