2 get life terms in CM's nephew abduction case
Etawah, Feb 13 (UNI) A court pronounced life imprisonment for two people accused in the kidnapping of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's one-and-a-half-year-old nephew.
According to prosecution, on January 31, 2004, Shubh -- son of Mr Yadav's cousin Pradeep -- was abducted from the city.
Later, an FIR was lodged against the servant Mahesh Shah and another Jitendra Shah of Bihar.
One week later, the infant was rescued and the accused arrested.
On the basis of substantial evidence, Judge P P Yadav covicted the accused yesterday, besides imposing a penalty of Rs 5,000 each.
