Woman found dead, constable critical in Nagpur lodge'
Nagpur, Feb 12 (UNI) A woman died and a constable was in serious condition after both consumed poison at a lodge here today, police said.
Ganeshpeth Police Station Officer Ashok Jaiswal said,'' police head constable V D Satpute, attached to Gadchiroli Police, was staying at Mahesh Lodge in Cotton Market area in the city since February 9, where he had booked a room in the fake name of Rakesh Pande. He was accompanied by a woman, whom he named Kamal Rakesh Pande.
The lodge management broke open the door today and found the woman lying dead and Satpute in critical condition but breathing.
He was rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The duo had consumed poison, the police said. They have registered a case.
