Water tank operators to go on indefinite strike

Puducherry, Feb 12 (UNI) The Overhead water tank operators of Puducherry Municipality and Commune Panchayat would go on an indefinite strike from February 14 to press their demands.

The operators Association Secretary Saravanan, in a statement said their demands included implementation of three shifts as in the Public Works Department, regularisation of the service of the daily rated employees and employee appointments on compassionate grounds.
