Robbers attack petrol pump; decamp with Rs one lakh

Nadiad, Feb 12 (UNI) Ten to 12 'Chaddi-banian' gang members attacked a petrol pump near Kokran Hanuman temple on College Road here and decamped with cash of Rs one lakh.

Police said, Shivam petrol pump, owned by Vijaybhai Counselor had been managed by his son Vivek when the gang attacked the pump yesterday. Vivek received head injuries in the attack.

The robbers broke the cabin doors of the pump and escaped with Rs one lakh cash after indulging in heavy stone-pelting.

DSP DJ Patel immediately ordered Naka Bandi and all vehicles in and out from Nadiad were checked, however, no arrests were made till early morning.
