Rains likely in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim

Pune, Feb 12 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, and Bihar.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and north Rajasthan. They will occur at isolated places in south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Uttaranchal and were below normal in some parts of south Madhya Maharashtra and interior Karnataka. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana, Rayalseema, and in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat.

Night temperatures were above normal in some parts of south Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and north Kerala. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, and many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Haryana, Punjab and east Madhya Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
