Polio alert in 20 MP villages
Betul, MP, Feb 12 (UNI) A high alert has been sounded in about 20 villages in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh in the wake of symptoms of polio being found at Mogara village in Amrawati district of neighbouring Maharashtra.
Chief Medical and Health Officer W A Nagle today said children below five years of age will be administered polio drops as a part of special door-to-door campaign.
Health teams had been dipatched to these villages. The teams will remain there until the drive was completed.
