PMK warns of counter agitation
Puducherry, Feb 12 (UNI) The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) today said it would launch a counter agitation at the same venue if the JIPMER anti-conversion Peoples Action Committee went ahead with their stir against the two MPs from Puducherry including PMK's Prof M Ramadass.
The JIPMER anti-conversion PAC President T Murugan had announced an agitation here on February 20 to condemn the two MPs for their reported statement on tabling the JIPMER Conversion Bill in the last session of Parliament, which according to Mr Murugan was 'false.' Following Mr Murugan's announcement, PMK State Vice-President N G Panneerselvam and Convenor Pon Selvarasu, in a joint statement, said no MP had made any statement on the JIPMER issue.
If the Committee dared organise an agitation on February 20, the party would organise a counter agitation, they added.
