Passengers, local people demand setting up of a rail gate
Nadia, Feb 12 (UNI) Passengers and local residents here today demonstrated at the Batkulla railway station, demanding the setting up of the 64th rail gate here.
Concerned over the safety of the local people of the area, the agitators demonstrated at the railways station, resulting in the disruption of services between 0715-1030 hrs this morning.
The Bhagirathi Lalgola Fast Passenger was stopped and later on all train services from Sealdah to Lalgola via Krishnagar were also called off. The trains were mostly diverted from Ranaghat.
