New funding pattern for externally-aided projects in NE
Aizawl, Feb 12 (UNI) The Centre has fixed the grants and loan ratio at 90:10 for all externally-aided projects in the Northeast.
Planning department officials here today said the decision was taken, considering the proposal by the northeastern states. This system should benefit them since the state concerned will pay only 10 per cent of the total loan under externally-aided projects.
The NE state governments have placed a number of proposals, separately seeking fund for infrastructural development and improvement of living standard in the states from different agencies, officials added.
