New funding pattern for externally-aided projects

Aizawl, Feb 12: Centre has fixed the grants and loan ratio at 90:10 for all externally-aided projects in the Northeast.

Planning department officials here today said the decision was taken, considering the proposal by the northeastern states. This system should benefit them since the state concerned will pay only 10 per cent of total loan under externally-aided projects.

The NE state governments have placed a number of proposals, seperately seeking fund for infrastructural development and improvement of the living standard in the states from different agencies, officials added.
