Man kills wife, kids, consumes poison

Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, Feb 12 (UNI) Doubting his wife's fidelity, a 31-year-old man murdered her along with his two children, aged five and three, at Sivanthipuram near Vikramasingapuram in the District, early today.

According to police, in a fit of rage Narayanan thrashed his wife and hit her repeatedly against the wall till she died. Then, he killed his son Muthukrishnan (5) and daughter Alangari (3) in a cold blooded manner by pressing a pillow on their face.

Later, he consumed poison in an unsuccessful attempt to commit suicide.

Neighbours found him in an unconscious state and rushed him to the Palayamkottai Government Hospital.

On being informed, police arrived on the scene and secured the bodies. A case has also been registered.
