Mathura, Feb 12 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government Advocate General S M A Kazmi has said the Judiciary is not violating the rights of the Executive.
''The cases where rights had been violated for the past 22 yrs or due to which the society as a whole is suffering come to us, the Judiciary has no option but to accept these PILs,'' Mr Kazmi told newspersons at Gowardhanpeeth 'Ashram' here late last night.
Mr Kazmi added ''as long as the constitutional system is followed, the Judiciary does not interfere in it. The Judiciary cannot neglect environmental cases as it is its constitutional binding.'' On being asked the reason behind the large number of pending cases in several courts, he said it depends on the mutual understanding of both parties.
He said the Judiciary, the Executive and the Legislature should try to resolve the issues so that there is no confusion.
