Illegal telephone exchange busted in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad, Feb 12 (UNI) The Ahmedabad crime branch has busted an illegal telephone exchange that offered international calls at a cheaper rate.
Acting on a complaint filed by telecom vigilance department head Rameschandra Tiwari, a police team busted the illegal exchange recently, a crime branch release said here today.
Jointly inspected Mardia complex, from where the exchange was operational, in the city. It was run by one Sachin Jayantilal Shah, who was helping his customers route the international calls at a cheaper rate.
On Wednesday, the police team raided the place and apprehended Shah. He was later produced before the court, which remanded him to five days' police custody.
