HC summons UP chief secretary
Lucknow, Feb 12 (UNI) Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court today summoned Uttar Pradesh chief secretary Naveen Chandra Bajpai on March 12 in a PIL praying for the removal of encroachments from Lucknow city.
A bench comprising Justices Uday Krishna Dhawan and Rakesh Sharma passed this order on the PIL filed by Nishant Residency Welfare Association.
Meanwhile, SSP Lucknow Rajiv Krishna appeared before the court and submitted a report in this regard.
The court also directed the state DGP to increase the strength of police to help in the anti-encroachment drive.
