Hails damage crops in MP

Shajapur, MP, Feb 11 (UNI) Unseasonal rainfall and hailstorm in the Chambal division last evening has caused loss to farmers with the crops being affected in 176 villages.

According to Divisional Commissioner Ajit Kesri, unseasonal rainfall and hailstorm lashed 124 villages in Bhind district, 10 in Morena district and 32 in Sheopur district.

He said directions had been issued to concerned district officials to assess the loss at the earliest so that affected farmers could be provided help.
