German tourist missing from Andaman Islands

Port Blair, Feb 12: A German tourist has been reportedly missing from a resort in Havelock Island in remote Andaman and Nicobar Islands, police said.

A written report has been registered by the proprietor of the resort in Havelock Island, where he has stated that the missing person left his room on February 2 at 1030 hrs and did not return to the resort since then, Superintendent of Police in Andaman Jaspal Singh told sources today.

The missing foreign national Mathias Mans Martin Munker is 5.6'' inches in height, blond, thinly built and has a light beard. He was wearing spectacular lenses and a black thread around his neck with a brass (tabiz), police said, adding that he was wearing full trouser and yellow coloured T-shirt, when last seen.

His passport number was 9006043963.

Meanwhile, police investigations are on to find the missing tourist and urged the general public to inform the nearest police station or out-post if he is spotted anywhere.
