Boy killed, 5 hurt in house collapse

Varanasi, Feb 12 (UNI) A boy was killed, while five members of his family suffered severe injuries in a rain triggered house collapse in Lanka area here today.

Police said Rahul (10) was killed, while his father Bhaiya Lal (40), mother Soni, brothers Monu (12) and Ashish (4) and sister Renu (8) were hurt, when their mud dwelling in Lal Sarai Dengri caved in due to rainfall.

The injured have been admitted to the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and district hospitals, where condition of two of them is stated critical.
