Arjun Munda terms Jharkhand CM helpless
Varanasi, Feb 12 (UNI) Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda today said his successor Madhu Koda was helpless with the RJD and Congress supporting him.
''He (Koda) is young, but a helpless CM in front of RJD and Congress, who played key role in forming his government,'' Mr Munda, who offered prayers at prominent temples here, besides 'darshan' at the Goddess Vindyavasni shrine in neighbouring Mirzapur district said here.
Interacting with mediapersons, the BJP leader, when asked about the performance of the present regime in Jharkhand, said ''it is better to pose the question to Congress, who made Mr Koda the CM.'' Asked about the prospects of homecoming of leaders, including Babulal Marandi, who have left BJP, Mr Munda said ''jo chale gaye woh chale gaye (those who have gone are gone).'' Maintaining he will be one of the BJP campaigners for the coming assembly poll in Uttar Pradesh, Mr Munda said ''I belong to the neighbouring state and UP has pockets, where my campaigning will pay off.'' Queried about the recent remarks of UP governor T V Rajeswar on Sanskrit education, Mr Munda said ''Sanskrit is not the language of bullock-cart age, but is the basis of our culture. Students studying Sanskrit not only hail from India, but from all corners of world.'' ''People, who term Sanskrit as a language of bullock-cart age, must not forget when the oil reserve dry up, it will be the bullock-cart only, which will run the economy. We shall not belittle our ancient lingo, but try to popularise it.'' UNI
