AP Legislative Council to be revived on March 30: Rosaiah

Hyderabad, Feb 12 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister K Rosaiah today said the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council would be revived on March 30.

Talking to mediapersons here, he said the elected members of the Council would take oath on the same day and the Goveror would address the members.

The new house would have 90 members with 31 members elected from the state assembly, 28 from local authorities and eight each from the Graduates' and Teachers constituencies. Twelve members will be nominated by state Governor Rameshwar Thakur.

The Legislative Council electiions would be held on March 17 to reconstitute the House after a gap of two decades.
