7 BJP workers killed in accident as their van plunges into gorge

Dehra Dun, Feb 12 (UNI) Seven BJP workers, including a woman, were killed when the van they were travelling in plunged into a 150-foot-deep gorge at Chholar village near Pipal Khet in Tehri district of Uttarakhand today.

According to Tehri SDM Deepti Singh, a utility van, on its way to Nainbagh from Thityud and carrying 14 BJP workers, plunged into a gorge at 1030 hrs.

Five workers, including a woman, died on the spot and two others succumbed to their injuries at Thityud Primary Health Centre, taking the toll to seven.

The remaining seven injured were admitted to Mussoorie Hospital.
